Greetings !! This is Sista Arisa with Freedom Now’s agenda for this Tues June 23, 2009.

Freedom Now will have as our guest  a 75-year-old elder activist “ Larry Aubry” one of the most active and principled community organizer in South-central Los Angeles. Most importantly,  he is an independent critical thinker. He has not sold out to the  Democratic party, non-profit organizations , church , synagoes, mosques and the numerous co-optive funders which castrate the militancy of the movement. He also is a journalist wit the LA Sentinnel the oldest African newspaper on the West coast.  We wish to honor him while he is still alive by broadcasting an interview that occurred early today in the Jungle. . Lessons from our elders is the title of the interview.

Brotha Mateef will provide the Raising the Bars prison segment with an update on the Cuban 5 . Cuban Patriots who sought to expose the role of illegal  cells in south Florida who have been engaged in decade’s olds terrorist activities against the government of Cuba. Dedon will provide the historical calendar of events and personalities who have contributed to the struggle for liberation.

Our music & speech clips mix will include: Zap mama, Sonny Okuson,Ralph Mcdonald, the Revolutionaries Dub,McCoy Tyner, Gernimo Pratt, Kwame Ture. So stay tune for our program and remember tonights program can be re-heard for the next 90 days at KPFK.org – Audio archives scroll to Freedom Now or you can contact us at Freedomnow at KFPK.org. We once again thanks all of our loyal listeners for your contribution to keeping Freedom Now alive and fiercely independent and as always we stand ready for the Revolution.
