Agenda Alafia ! This is Tejwith Freedom Now agenda for this Tues July 14, 2009. We will have a 4 part program . Dedon/I will present the African Drum Beat Historical Calendar which contextualizes our present struggle for liberation. Sista Nana Gympre from Hunan Rights Advocacy , our movement lawyer, will reflect on the recent victory of 7 members of the San Francisco 8 as well as the visit of President Obama in her home country of Ghana. . We will follow with Sista Nehanda a regular guest from Mothers for Africa and Dr. George Alulu. Dr. Alulu a Congolese is the author of “The ignored Economic Genocide of the Congo. Dr.Alulu former presidential candidate of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and founder of The Movement For Congo Unity will present an interesting perspective on the violence in the Congo. Our central guest is Michael Novick publisher of the Turning the Tide , the Journal of Anti-Racist Action, Research and Education and author of White Lies, white Power: The Fight Against White Supremacy and Reactionary Violence. Our music mix will include John Coltrane, Zap Mama, Tanoor Zuki, Hugh Masekla, The Confederate States of America clip, Ravages of Africa, Eddy Grant, MIA, Immortal Techniques and Sistren Waberi.
