Agenda
Dedon Kamathi 323-646-4814 Producer & HostGreetings! This is Sista Arisa with our agenda for Tonights issue of Freedom Now.
Brotha Dedon will present the African Drum Beat Historical Calendar following with Ruben Reyes from the Blazer Learning Center representing the Garifuna community of Los Angeles. The Garifuna are descendants of Black Caribs, Arawak Indians and African people are who live in Belize, Honduras, and Guatemala historical and are a maroon community.
We will follow with the introduction of a new regular monthly segment of Freedom Now a “European diasporas studies” segment led by Mike Novick a European living in the US who is a member of the Anti-racist Action coalition and People Against Racist Terrorism. Mike will provide us a critical analysis and updates on White Supremacy.
Following Dr. Astenu Brown who is our featured guest will present to us his research on “The African Contribution to Mathematics.” All of our lives we been told that Asians and European are the experts in math and Black peoples areas of expertise in music, dance, spirituality and sports. This negritudist notion has stunted psychologically the development of the African intellengisia in the math and technological fields. We will expose this myth with some historical hard core facts.
Of course for your pleasure we present the above topics in a musical mix which will include: Zap Mama, John Coltrance, Burning Spears, Andy Palaciao, Tupac Sharkur, Alvin Cash and Dead Pres.
So stay tune tell a friend and as always we stand ready for the revolution.
