Our central theme is Ebonics a serious analysis of Africans in America speech patterns. As is quite obvious to anyone viewing popular media many Black folks in the US donot speak Standard English. Dr.Ernie Smith an world reknown linguistics, argues that the masses , that is the unemployed, working class and middle class Africans in the US donot speak Standard English due to our original African lanuage legacy that is still retained. . He further argues that “it is more than reasonable to suggest that in order to effectively and successful teach the culturally and linguistically different Black child in the urban school the English language, the only logical place to begin is with their cultural and linguistic experiences that they come to school with. Our lexicon is english our vocabulary is english but our grammar is Niger-Congo delta reflect the continuing African legacy in our culture.
Our music mix will include: Zap Mama, Malian Cora sounds, Ascari X, Rebel Dub, Steve wonder, Last Poets, Dead Pres and Melvin Van Pebbles.
