Agenda

Greetings this is Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now agenda for this July 30,2011. Our central theme is the African diaspora in Central and South America. The United Socialist Party of Venezuela hosted the 4th meeting of the Afro Descendant in the Americas and the Caribbean which was attended by over 600 delegates .The rise of the anti-imperialist Alba Pac as well as SeLac all groupings of Latin America countries against Western Imperilism has created a social revolution for their corresponding African communities. We are bless to have James Early a long time social activist and Director of the Cultural Studies and communications at the Center For Folklife Programs and Cultural Studies at the Smithsonian Insititute in Washignton DC. Dr. Early led the US delegation to this historicic Conference and Dr.Early has over  45 years of research and travels to the African diasporaic community in Central America and Latin America.

Of course we will have the African Drum beat historical calendar and

Sista Nana from the Black August Committee of LA will closeout our program -  time permitting with the Black august calendar of activites in the Los Angeles area.

Our music mix will include Zap Mama, Chapter 2 dub, Jazz Crusaders, Fela, Son De Chuaco and Dead Prez.

So call a friend and be prepared for another journey into the land of Freedom Now and as always we stand ready for the revolution.
