   Alafia this is Dedon  Kamathi with Freedom Now’s agenda for this September 10,2011.We commence with the African Drum Beat Historical Calendar a calendar produce with the sole objective of highlighting the principle  heroic struggles of the people class, the urban and rural proletariat, the masses of the planet earth. We will follow as we have since March, the US and NATO’s war on Africa through the illegal overthrow of the Jamriyya popular government of Libya. We will have Stephen Lend man a progressive European Journalist and Host of the Progressive Radio News part of the Progressive Radio Network with his analysis on Libya. He has authored books on Wall Street and the Middle East as well as numerous pieces on Libya. We will close out continuing on the theme of Asia and African people. Our guest is Gerald Horne  a frequent guest here at KPFKk’s, Spotlight Africa, Sourjourer Truth. Of the 30+ books he has published we will look at 3 in particular  1.The End of Empires- African Americans and India, The White Pacific:U.S. Imperialism and Black Slavery in the South Seas and the his most recent book Fighting in Paradise How the labor movement and the left played decisive roles in moving Hawaii from a feudal colony to the most progressive state in the union.
