    Hotep this is Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now agenda for this Saturday December 31,2011. This evening we will be hosting a 2 hour New years eve special. We will feature a round table discussion with 4 of the most critical thinkers to emerge out of the year long programming here at KPFK’s Freedom Now. None/ of our guest are sanction by the “Manufacture Dissent” machine of Euro-capitalism nor the Democratic Party. They are  Brotha Obi Egubunna the Nigerian correspondent for the Zimbabwe Herald as well as a organizer for the Cuban support network. Ms. Cynthia McKinney former US Congresswoman and Green Party Presidential Nominee, the most militant and uncomprising member of Congress in the history of the United States. Akbar Muhammad the International Minister for the Nation of Islam the largest African organization in the US, and of course Dr.Gerald Horne prolific author,Marxist  and a professor of history at the University of Houston, Texas. Together they bring unique perspectives representing four trends in the African liberation movement. Pan Africanism, Progressive Independent electoral politics, Marxism and Black Nationalism.

   They will address the radical transformation of Africa with the North African uprisings in Tunisia and Egypt as well its spread to the Occupy Movements in the United States and Europe. We will also review  the US/Nato assault on Africa in this the United Nations designated year of Afro descendants.

   Of course we will have our African Drum beat historical calendar, Brotha Mateef with the Raising the Bars political prisoner segment, and our Did you know segment on Afro descendants in Central and South America with Sista Shardey. A new feature will be Brotha Billion with our free give away of weapons for liberation.

  Our music mix will include Zap Mama, Alice Contrane, Tapper Zakier Dub,TV clip of Oz, Sweet Honey and the Rock, Ice Cube, Sista Soujah,  Muhammad Ali clip, Sista Waberi, Tambu,Traore and Bob Marley.
