Agenda for January 21, 2012   -Dedonkamathi90.7@gmail.com

Hotep this is Dedon Kamathi with Freedom Now Agenda for this Saturday January 21,2012. We will commence with Comrade Mateff and the Raising the Bars Political Prisoner segments giving life to our comrades locked down .     We will follow with the African Drumbeat Historical Calendar which demonstrates that the popular struggles that we see , throughout the world and even here in the US is part and parcel of the inevitable victory of the masses against all systems of class, gender and racial and national oppression.  We Continue will  the  Reginald Fagan from Timbuktu Resource Center, which address alternative diet, food, and agriculture production movement in our community. This notion of no culture without agriculture address the centuries old struggles of an oppress peoples right to control land and produce healthy resources from the land.     Sista Shardey will provide us with a piece on the “Don’t be bamboozle by the Euro-Spanish propaganda machine which address the African presence in Latin America. We will closeout with our central theme.  A Dr.Martin Luther King Jr the African Revolutionary.  Last week  Freedom Now co-sponsored under the leadership of Liberated Sista’s Charlene Muhammad a community forum entitled “Fact ,Fiction & Black  Women and the media.. A very important discussion .Hence we postponed our normal Freedom Now’s tribute to Dr King which challenges  the dominate European narrative or story on Dr.King but we have just experience a week of activities where Dr. King has been pimped by all opportunist of all political and ethnic groupings. So I felt that it is incumbent to set the record straight. We have Professor Manu Ampin  whose thesis “The Revolutionary Martin Luther King Jr is being expanded into a 2 volume work entitled “Martin Luther King:The Evolutionary of a Revolutionary”. In another vein an area frankly I had no information about is the new thesis “The theology of Dr.Martin Luther King . Was it Christianity or Something Else” with Derek Holt a recently graduate from UCLA with a keen interest  in Kemetic or Egyptian studies.  Our music mix will include zap mama, Horace Silver, Eddie Grant, Aggravators Dub, Immortal techniques, Houna Puna, Bill Bill Broonz and Marvin Gay. So stay tune tell a friend and take note that tonight’s program can be reheard for the next 60 days at KPFK org. under audio archives school to Freedom Now. Ready 4 the Revolution!!!
