    Hotep this Dedon Kamathi  with Freedom Now agenda for this May 5,2012. We will commence with the African  Drum Beat Historical Calendar where we big up the Sista’s and Brotha and the peoples struggle against the triple systems of race or national oppression, gender oppression and class oppression by the .01%

  We will follow with Sista Tandi and with the Raising The Bars segment, which addresses US political prisoners. Then Margaret Beavers an 83-year-old organizer from the Woodlake Manors Tenant organization together with Joel from the Coalition on Economic survival will provide an update on the tenants struggle against  the eviction of the Elderly among others in this new era of digital segregation. Following a brief commentary on Gil Scott Heron in preparation for KPFK’s Tribute.  Brotha Billion with the Free your mind your butt will follow  giveaways of Ideological weapons of mass liberation then Senorita Demathis with the Afro-Latino segments on Casta & Afro-mexicans.

 Our central theme will be the unfolding crisis in Mali .There are 2 crisis a coup e etat and a Northern rebellion. One month before elections in Mali  a US trained Malian ,Captain Amadou Haya Sanogo with his troops coup d’état the democratically elected government of President Amadou Toure.  This crisis together with the blow back from  the US Nato overthrowal of the Jamiyiyyaa of Libya has  given rise to returning Tuaregs formulating a uprising that in fact has divided Mali into 2 separate countries..This  violence throughout West Africa is playing into the master plan of AFRICOM preparing for increase US  boots  on the ground as a so called interventionist force. Some say Africa is rapidly becoming the  new Middle East.

    Our guest is Ms.Ana Edwards an organizer with the Defenders for Freedom ,Justice and Equality a US based organization of concerns African & European Americas who care about Mali. Their recent article US Hands Off Mali-An Analysis of the recent events in the Republic  of  Mali is the best critical analysis that I have seen. Quite  insightful
