          Hotep ! This is Sista Zionne with Freedom Nows agenda for this April 15 . We will  have as our special guest Professor Arnold August the first non-Cuban who has directly attended and  researched all aspects of the contemporary Cuban electoral process . A Democratic electoral process in socialist Cuba  ? Ran by the Cuban Communist Party ?  Is the notion of democracy and socialism a paradox ? Democracy and a Communist Party a contradiction in terms ?

          Of course the ruling class and their subservient institutions, their high schools, colleges, their media have had us believe that no matter what our economic situation, no matter what racist, sexist situations we suffer from we should be happy that we live in the United States because we have Freedom and Democracy.

Well tonight we will hear another point of view regarding  “Democracy in Cuba” with Arnold August a professor at Morgan State University whose recent book Cuba: Participatory Democracy and Elections in the 21st Century” has him on tour in the US. He will be speaking in Los Angeles this Wednesday April 16, at 7:30 pm at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church
3300 Wilshire Blvd.
