Radio Insurgencia Femenina es un programa radial que es parte de la programacion en español de la emisora comunitaria KPFK 90.7 FM. Se transmite alternadamente con el programa Suplemento Comunitario cada Martes a partir de las 9:00 hasta las 9:30 de la noche. Se puede escuchar en vivo por internet a traves de la pagina de la estación kpfk.org Nuestro programa busca reeducarnos como mujeres que vivimos en un sistema capitalista y rescatar nuestro poder como mujeres que nacimos libres. Con nuestro trabajo queremos desenmascarar la opresión que la sociedad machista nos ha impuesto a través de la historia patriarcal. Nuestros programas se enfocan en la lucha de las mujeres de Latinoamérica, incluyendo la resistencia de mujeres Mexicanas, Latinas, Chicanas y por supuesto, las mujeres indÃgenas de este continente.
Otra de las responsabilidades de Insurgencia Femenina es difundir sobre las actividades de la comunidad de artistas locales en el aspecto económico y social. Insurgencia Femenina comparte este espacio radial para destacar el talento y creatividad de las mujeres que frecuentemente es ignorado y silenciado por el resto de la sociedad. El programa es producido por mujeres de la comunidad en el que compartimos discursos, entrevistas, música y poesía. De esa manera contribuir al proceso de consciencitización de la comunidad. En ocasiones el programa se transmite en forma bilingüe y el espacio está abierto para todas las compañeras que quieran participar aunque no tengan previa experiencia en el producción radial.
Radio Insurgencia Femenina is a Spanish language program (sometimes bilingual ) which airs every other Tuesday from 9:00 - 9:30pm, and can be heard worldwide at kpfk.org. We produce our shows to empower, educate, shed conscience, provide community resources, analyze and redefine the traditional oppressive roles that have historically not been in the interest of women, especially women of Latin America (including Mexicanas, Latinas, Chicanas and Mujeres Indigenas born in the Americas. RIF has a social responsibility to the community of Los Angeles and its surrounding areas to inform the community of local women artists from all walks of life and to provide the space for us to share the talents of sisterhood which are too often silenced.
We are women who come together every other week to provide our community with thought provoking discussions, interviews, music, poetry, and news on a variety of themes that affect and touch the daily lives of Mexicana, Latina, Chicana women. This Program is in Spanish and is open to any women who wishes to participate, collaborate, and/or volunteer with us, radio experience is not necessary.

woman doing what a woman
does when she's natural
I would have a revolution
I AM DRIVEN BY THE PASSION TO EXPERIENCE, CAPTURE AND DOCUMENT THE DAILY DRAMA OF PEOPLE. PEOPLE CONSISTENTLY CREATING THEIR OWN HISTORY AS THEY STRUGGLE TO OVERCOME ECONOMIC, CULTURAL, AND POLITICAL CHALLENGES IN THEIR FIGHT FOR BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS AS MODEST AS BEING ABLE TO LIVE A LIFE OF DIGNITY OR TO EXPERIENCE SOCIAL JUSTICE. TO DEFEND ONES NATION AND OWN SELF-DETERMINATION. THOSE MOMENTS THAT REPRSENT THE VERY ESSENCE OF HUMANITY NEED TO BE RECORDED IN THEIR RAW INNOCENCE AND SHARED WITH THE WORLD.
