Host Thandisizwe Chimurenga speaks with Cynthia Exum, Wyllisa Bennett and Vanessa Caine about the Leimert Park Book Fair, coming up June 26, 2010 in Leimert Park (Degnan Blvd., Leimert Blvd., 43rd St., 43rd Place, Vernon Ave., Crenshaw Blvd.  She also hears from Njideka Obijiaku of the Ma'at Club for Social Change about their analysis of and recommendations for the June 8 ballot initiatives in California.  We will honor the memory of our "Black Shining Prince," Omowole, El Hajj Malik Shabazz, Malcolm X, by listening to bell hooks on the meaning of Malcolm's life to her and other African American women.
