Indica features music from South Asia and its Diaspora, with a specific regional focus on the countries of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the islands of the Indian Ocean. Indica showcases musical genres such as Asian Underground, Punjabi bhangra, Bollywood soundtracks, Indo-Jazz, South Asian dancehall and hip-hop, South Asian devotional music, South Asian classical music, and other forms of South Asian fusion music. Indica is also a platform where South Asian musicians, DJs, and scholars can discuss, perform, and mix music while engaging the audience in a discussion of relevant political, cultural, and social issues involving South Asia and its Diaspora.
