Iran at the Crossroads. What is Next?
Where is Iran heading?for revolution or civil war? for military dictatorship or democratic change? Who are the agents of change?
This week's program will explore the recent development in Iran with Dr. Afshin Asgari, professor of Political Science at California State University Los Angeles. Dr. Asgari is an accomplished Iranian scholar. He has written extensively on Iran's political forces and ideological movement, including "From Social Democracy to Social Democracy: the Twentieth-century odyssey of the Iranian Left" in Stephanie Cronin's, Reformers and Revolutionaries in, Modern Iran: New Perspectives on the Iranian Left.
Dr. Asgari, who has just returned from Iran, will take questions from the listeners during the second half of the program.
