An Update on Iran Sanctions

Radio Intifada host Afshin Matin will interview Dr. Sasan Fayazmanesh, Cal State University, Fresno, economics professor and author of a book and numerous articles on the politics and history of US-sponsored trade sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran. The interview will update the current state of sanctions, going into their  "crippling" stage, preventing Iran from selling oil to European countries. It will also address the politics driving Iran sanctions in the US, as well as their impact on Iran and the Islamic Republic's response to them.

Guest: Dr. Sasan Fayazmanesh is an economics professor at California State University Fresno. Dr. Fayazmanesh’s writings have appeared in such publications as the Journal of the History of Economic Thought, Research in the History of Economic Thought and Methodology, the Encyclopedia of Political Economic, and the Review of Radical Political Economics. He authored a 2006 book titled Money and Exchange.
