L.A. Theatre Works' Radio Theatre Series will air “8” written by Dustin Lance Black, directed by Rob Reiner, and starring George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen, Kevin Bacon, Jamie Lee Curtis, Christine Lahti, and John C. Reilly. The broadcast can be heard locally in Southern California on Sunday, June 10 from 8-10 pm on 90.7 FM KPFK, and can also be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
In the state of California, Proposition 8 has been passed to ban same-sex marriage …and two of the country’s biggest lawyers have joined forces to strike it down. The broadcast includes conversations with George Clooney, Martin Sheen and other cast members about the role of theater in social change; an interview with lawyers David Boies and Ted Olson who led the charge against Proposition 8; and a conversation with playwright Dustin Lance Black and director Rob Reiner.
