L.A. Theatre Works On the Air:
Alfred Molina and Emily Bergl star in
“Moving Bodies”
L.A. Theatre Works' Radio Theatre Series will air Moving Bodies, written by Arthur Giron, directed by Rosalind Ayres, and featuring Alfred Molina, Emily Bergl and Jessica Chastain. The broadcast can be streamed on demand at www.latw.org. The broadcast will be accessible from June 29th through July 6th as the regularly scheduled broadcast on KPFK 90.7 FM in Southern California will be pre-empted on Sunday, July 1 by the coverage of the Mexican elections, but LATW will resume its regular broadcast time on July 8th from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Alfred Molina stars as Richard Feynman – the brilliant mathematician, bongo-playing eccentric and doting husband and brother. Moving Bodies looks at Feynman’s life, including his pivotal role in the Rogers Commission, which investigated the 1986 Challenger shuttle disaster. The broadcast includes a feature on The Feynman Tapes, a series of CDs containing original recordings of Feynman’s stories and music produced by Feynman colleague Ralph Leighton.
This play is part of L.A. Theatre Works’ Relativity Series featuring science-themed plays. Major funding for the Relativity Series is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, to enhance public understanding of science and technology in the modern world.
