L.A. Theatre Works’ Radio Theatre Series will air The Browning Version, written by Terence Rattigan, directed by Peter Levin, and featuring Martin Jarvis and Kate Steele. The broadcast can be heard locally in Southern California on Sunday, October 21 from 8 -10 pm on KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles (98.7 FM in Santa Barbara, 99.5 FM in Ridgecrest/China Lake and 93.7 FM in Rancho Bernardo/North San Diego), and can also be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.

Stuck in a broken marriage and facing the prospect of a retirement with no money, classics master Mr. Crocker-Harris is a tyrant hated by his students. But an unexpected act of kindness breaks his emotional shell, bringing out the deep-rooted dignity and heartbreaking sadness that give this play its power.
