L.A. Theatre Works’ Radio Theatre Series will air Blue/Orange, written by Joe Penhall, directed by Brendon Fox and featuring Teagle F. Bougere, Daniel Davis and Matt Letscher. The broadcast can be heard locally in Southern California on Sunday, November 18 from 8 -10 pm on KPFK 90.7 FM in Los Angeles (98.7 FM in Santa Barbara, 99.5 FM in Ridgecrest/China Lake and 93.7 FM in Rancho Bernardo/North San Diego), and can also be streamed on demand at www.latw.org.
Two psychiatrists—one new and inexperienced, the other his well-established mentor—battle over the diagnosis and treatment of Chris, a young black man who claims to be the son of African dictator Idi Amin. The broadcast includes a conversation about schizophrenia with Dr. Carrie Bearden of UCLA.
This play is part of L.A. Theatre Works’ Relativity Series featuring science-themed plays. Major funding for the Relativity Series is provided by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, to enhance public understanding of science and technology in the modern world.
