Today we interviewed William Lobdell, a former L.A. Times religion writer, who as a wannabe Catholic preparing to join the church, found himself covering the Catholic Church sex scandal. His new book is called Losing My Religion. Among many interesting things, Lobdell says that many kids were raped because of L.A. Cardinal Mahony's lack of action and that the Cardinal would be gone if Catholic parishioners had risen up as they did in Boston against Cardinal Bernard Law.
