Celebrando la gran marcha del inmigrante del 2006

On March 25, KPFK 90.7 will mark the anniversary of the great Immigrant Rights March of 2006 with 24 hours of progressive Spanish-language programming. KPFK is one of the few public radio stations in any major U.S. metropolitan area in the U.S. that transmits alternative and independent radio content in Spanish. On Monday, March 25th the station will flip to all Spanish for 24 hours in recognition of this programming and to honor of one of the largest demonstrations in the history of Los Angeles, which saw at least 500,000 people (by some estimates 1,000,000) gather on the streets of Downtown in a sea of white shirts and American flags. KPFK was there - broadcasting from the lawn of City Hall.
