Encuentro de Jaraneros - Son Jarocho FestivalJoin Betto Arcos this Saturday, August 18th, for a live broadcast of the 11th Annual Encuentro de Jaraneros - Son Jarocho Festival...We'll be broadcasting from 5 to 10 PM, live from La Plaza de Cultura y Artes. You'll hear the music of many of the fantastic groups that play "Son Jarocho" in southern California, including Quetzal, Conjunto Xi, Las Cafeteras, Conjunto Jardin, Los Hermanos Herrera y Pa'sumecha. The Encuentro starts at 12 noon, and goes until 10 PM and we'll have more than 15 groups performing. Then, from 10 to 12 PM, we'll have a traditional Fandango Jarocho, and everyone is invited to play and dance. That's this Saturday, from 5 to 10 PM, for the live broadcast on KPFK of the Encuentro de Jaraneros, live from La Plaza de Cultura y Artes, across from Olvera Street, en el corazón de Los Angeles. |
