Text For Donations From the Citizens of Los Angeles To Help Frontline Medical Providers During COVID-19 Pandemic
Supplies Save Lives Spokespeople are available for interviews this and next week via Skype/Zoom or Phone
A group of LA volunteers have set up a national hotline to help during the COVID-19 pandemic and provide medical supplies to the frontline heroes. Supplies Save Lives are a group of volunteers who have set up a text number to collect donations from citizens, businesses and other places that may have a surplus of N95 masks, surgical masks, fabric masks, isolation gowns, gloves and wipes to reduce the barriers around safely donating unused supplies.
The group is providing Zero Contact pick up in the Los Angeles area for those residents and local businesses who want to donate unused surgical or n-95 masks, nitrile gloves, or antiseptic wipes from their earthquake kits as there is a crucial need for these items in local hospitals and homeless shelters.
Supplies Save Lives provides a simple process that will make a big difference - just text MASKS to 844-974-2444 and you will be asked for a description of your donation and your pickup address. Volunteers will then pick up your unused medical supplies and donate them to local hospitals and shelters with urgent need. They are partnered with getusppe.org

A Murder Mystery
Part of the existing narrative of Pacoima is violence. Over a six-month period in 2019, there were 165 violent crimes compared to 103 in Northridge or 66 in Sherman Oaks. The perception of violence is so normalized for Pacoima that it barely gets reported.
