• Authorized engagement of Rogers & Company to perform
audits for 2022 and 2023.
• Approved the 2025 budget for the Pacifica Affiliates Network.
• Adopted several motions from the Governance Committee to
improve procedural transparency for PNB and LSB activities. The report outs from these meetings were:
October 7 report out: The PNB met in closed session to receive an update about the KPFK property sale and authorized the ED to sign a transfer of deed to accomplish the sale of the property.
October 17 report out: The PNB met in closed session on October 17th to discuss the sale of the KPFK building, aged payables and other confidential contractual matters.
The Pacifica National Board will next meet on November 21.
• The Audit Committee had a convening meeting on October 24;
schedule for the next meeting is pending.
• The Finance Committee met on October 22 and is scheduled
to meet on November 12, November 26 and December 10.
• The Governance Committee is scheduled to meet on
November 19 and on December 12.
• The Personnel Committee met on October 21 and initiated the
second annual evaluation of the Pacifica Executive Director.
The Committee next meets on November 18.
Pacifica 2024 Delegate Election: results were certified by the National Election Supervisor on October 15, 2024 for delegate elections in the listener member and staff classes successfully conducted at four stations (KPFA, KPFK, KPFT, WBAI). For WPFW, the number of candidates for listener members and for staff members equaled the number of positions being elected to. The National Election Supervisor provided a final report on November 7 but not all questions have been addressed.
