Activist, playwright, social critic and winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, George Bernard Shaw is considered one of the greatest playwrights in modern theatre. He was prolific (with more than 60 plays) including "The Devil's Disciple" which was one of his first financial successes. A classic in the Shaw canon, it has had many adaptations, most notably a 1959 film starring Laurence Olivier, Burt Lancaster Kirk Douglas and Dame Judith Anderson.
Recorded before a live audience at Voice of America, Washington D.C. in October 1996.
