A celebration of Blase Bonpane to honor his 50 years of producing and hosting World Focus on KPFK

On behalf of KPFK, we are pleased to invite you to join us for on November 3rd, 2018 for a celebration of Blase Bonpane to honor his 50 years of producing and hosting World Focus on KPFK. Blase welcomed the opportunity to open the mic at and comment widely on what is happening in our country and the planet. During his tenure of programming World Focus, there was not a word of censorship from management. Blase once said "Any one of my programs might have been my last on commercial media. Such is the power and control of commercialism."
KPFK has been broadcasting since 1959 over 110,000 - Watts, the strongest signal west of the Mississippi. KPFK believes forging social change is a fundamental part of how radio can make a positive impact on younger generations and the communities we serve.
This event is a two-part celebration which kicks off at 10 am (VIP Ticket holders only!) Brunch with Blaze Fundraiser that includes a buffet-style brunch and wine and beer service plus limited edition Blase Bonpane gift bag full of goodies.
The second half of the event will start at 12:00 pm (GA Ticket Holders) which will include a presentation of an award to Blase for all his many years of service as host of World Focus.
