Re-Imagining Safety, an award winning documentary about alternatives to abusive and racist policing, will screen at the Strategy & Soul Center, panel discussion and Q&A with film-maker, KPFK GM Michael Novick, and activist KPFK programmers.

Reimagining Safety, an award-winning documentary about alternatives to abusive policing, will screen one night only in a benefit for KPFK at the Strategy and Soul Center, 3546 W. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. at Crenshaw on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 6:30 PM, followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Panelists include film-maker Matthew Solomon, KPFK programmers Gina Viola (who appears in the film), Matt Sedillo, and KPFK interim General Manager Michael Novick, along with a member of Black Lives Matter LA. Success with this event will give us a basis to revive the KPFK Film Club, with at least a movie screening a month.
